The color saturation is warm and has an orange hue in the cutaway
scenes that show Leona lip syncing. In the story scenes, with the man and the
woman in a relationship, the hue is blue and dreary conotating cynicism and
foreshadowing the death that is to come. Another demonstration of binary
positions is shown through the deep orange saturation in the cutaway scenes
that are meant to depict hell (hence the heart is on fire). Colorful hues of
this sort are normally used to portray love and happy memories- not death and
after life as it is in this case. The producers may have used the reds and
oranges to signify the sin of suicide instead.
